I like the sensor in front of the radiator and low. I'm more considered about temps near the road. They can be very different than a few feet up. Being Texas we hibernated if it gets below freezing. Cars actually run at those frigid temps? I didn't think it possible. ;) I also like seeing...
Well hell if this is turning into a suspension/shock discussion.... I'm at 3.5" lift and stock JKU shocks. Rides a bit stiff but it's a street Jeep. Which is why I'm following this thread. Once I dial in my ride height and fully equipped weight, I'll worry about correct stroke and damped...
New oem battery and starter cables (and much of the harness) and a yellow top AGM battery. Somehow it manages despite my ignorance. None of my added load is through the PDC/oem fuse box. Dedicated wiring to a aux fuse box fed directly by the batter.
You are pulling 100A+ through your PDA?
Did you also add appropriate sized wiring and fuses to the PDA for all those accessories or are you running them through circuits meant for the components already on them? And how are those oem components that needed smaller fuses now being protected...
I'm all for replacing 15 year old battery and alternator cables as they degrade over time (oxidation/corrosion), but much more than stock simply isn't needed, larger atl or not. I can see a gauge or two upgrade just for kicks if changing them anyway, but this whole business of adding larger...
On my 99 I was getting a lean code. The mechanic told me my new Bosch O2 was good according to his scanner and had me replacing other parts. Ended up getting an oem O2 sensor and all was well again. These things hate aftermarket sensors.
well...good you checked, but I'm still having issues also so my info was worthless. Just one more thing "fixed" but issues not solved. :/
Good luck on yours.
I had some rough running at low rpms. Found a couple of plugs with the gap way too tight. I was chasing vacuum, map, O2 etc. also; Damn internet (and my assumptions).
On my 230k miler that is extremely gunked up from multiple leaks prior to my ownership, I tried heavy duty degreaser and own a pressure washer. It barely made a dent, but the old vulnerable rubber vacuum elbows basically fell apart. I've been chasing vacuum and emissions issues ever since...
If you tether your dog in the cabin, consider making the lead long enough that it doesn't hang if you end up on you lid or use a harness. ...or both. I'm no help keeping them still. I don't even try.
