I actually bought a PCM for it. Same model number. Starts the jeep then dies within a second. I guess maybe it needs to be flashed. No idea how much that might cost.
I’m trying to fix my son’s jeep. Giving me a tough time. This forum was super helpful with my XJ years ago. Now I have another and it’s a project.
Drove good for 6 months. Now, it’s throwing the following codes:
P0351
P0300
P0301
P0306
I know cylinder 1 and 6 share the same pulse. Replaced...
Thanks for all the input. I do plan to loosen ad re-tighten everything in the front suspension while it’s in the ground. I also am in the process of changing every fluid. Including diffs and transfer case this weekend.
I do need to be clear, I don’t care about the rough ride. That’s fine. The...
The lift is bolt on components. I’m not sure how he could mess that up that bad. Other than misadjusting. I paid someone to adjust and align. Hoping they did okay.
What I’m trying to figure out is what is popping upfront. Then I’ll address the vibrations. I don’t need a rock crawler and not...
They did not. And I didn’t ask. And I do question them. Will not be going back. Was a waste of money. I was hoping going to a 4wd and lift specialist, I’d get a better tech/advice/troubleshooting. Just reaffirmed why I usually do all of my own work. And why I’m here.
I have 4” rough country leaf springs for the rear. Just haven’t installed them yet. Do I still need any kind of drop shackle?
For the front, isn’t that lower arm adjustable? Isn’t that what I want? And I’m not sure about the actual lift height. I guessed it 4.5” based on components and height.
I don’t know if the vibrations are tire or driveline. These tires are wore pretty bad but have decent tread. I’m trying to find some street tires to toss in while working in the suspension. Something that will allow me to know the difference.
Budget is a good question. I’d rather fix what’s...
Yea. Not impressed with them. Was thinking some Bilstein after I get everything right. Mostly concerned with popping, darting, and vibrations at the moment.
Drop brackets for control arms? Yes. drop shackles for rear? No. But it still has an add a leaf in the rear. I’ll grab some pictures when I get home this weekend.
