    Mods...please delete my account.

I am no longer wishing to be a part of this board, as it has gotten to be pretty much a reflection of quite a few of the "other" boards as far as attitudes towards other people go...i.e. If your name is in black, regardless of the fact that it was red at one time, or you have contributed...

The fight just got a lot harder for us....

These idiots need to actually stop and think about what they are advocating: If the wild is left alone, you end up with a HUGE over-population of wildlife, due to restricted hunting, increased danger of fire, and harder to control/put out due to overgrowth in the lower parts of the forest...

XJ 4.0 Oil Filter Relocation questions

Well, you can rotate the adapter 90*CCW, like on the late models, just be ready to replace the "O"rings, as they will most likely leak after being disturbed.

Hmm. You can even get accessories for it! Time to get the wife a new"seat". :D

    Hyundai looking at buying Chrysler...

So, would that mean that I could get a CJ-8 again? maybe this time with a domestic-issue 4.5, NV5600, doubler, yadda, yadda, and NOT have to argue with the service department over "waranty violations"? Oh, and make mine a RENIX, please. :party1:

    messing with your friends

camping out on a weekend run, 2 of the crew parked thier rigs real close to each other. I got bored watching them get drunk and decided to have some fun. Ever sen the "generic" key switches at the parts houses? These guys both were using them in their rides. Hmm. So, being an oppritunist, I...

    Torn inner shift boot

The tranny tunnel boot is almost identical if taken from a TJ. All but one hole lines up on the tunnel. I have this in my '88. No troubles to install, if you know how to drill one hole. :gee:

Does this tick you off ?

The local Autozoo crew has learned several things when dealing with my vehicles: 1) Don't ask me what it is FOR, ask what it came off of. 2) Do not argue with me, I know what kind of Jeep it is. 3) If you can, let me use the comp, and I will be more than happy to go my parts, so that you...

    Junkyard lift installed

I also have a Junkyard lift, and I love it. It has done better than the majority of the catalogue lifts, time and again. Oh, and the shocks were the most expensive parts ( and they are stock, at that. :) )

Question raised by Black Helicopter thread

Built-up, still streetable XJ and Comanche. Enough dry goods for 2-3 months in the pantry. Wood heat/cooking and well water and septic. All neighbors are on really good terms..."If I give you these 4 chickens, can you fix my (whatever)" type of thing allready-small town(?) attitude. County has...

    AutoZone, Dont We Love Em

I got most of the crew down at the local AZ trained to NOT ask me what it is for, but instead what did it come off of. Oh, and most of the time, they let me go get my own stuff...good thing/bad thing...I have been mistaken as a new hire on more than one occurance.

Hell, Ecksjay has the right idea... get down there BEFORE the Mexicans make it back and leave them with no where to stay ( or jobs, for that matter :D ).

    Biggest Waste of Money?

Installed some small fog lights on the rear for extra reverse lights....smashed the SH*t out one later that week. Oh, and an "open" style air filter...installed wheeled and in the trash on the same day...too much dirt got through.

Mounting sound bar in front of Jeep

I mounted one where the front light goes and the other in the normal spot. No more speakers getting trashed when the doors flood out.

    distributer swap

You can cut the tab as mentioned, the HEI does actually fit, HOWEVER it does not interface with the RENIX system, even if you do get the full electronic HEI where the computer controls everything, as the HEI "values" are different from what the RENIX uses/looks for. Stooopid French system.

How do your rock rails mount?

I welded 3 pieces of 3x3x1/4" 6" long to the framerails on my XJ, then built the rest of the rail from 1 5/8" tube because I got it for free.

YJ Breakline for rear axle possible?

You can also run the rear brake hose from an '80's 1/2 ton Dodge truck. I am, and the hose is like almost 2 feet long ! I runout of down travel and the hose is no-where near strained, and this is being able to drop a 31" tire completely out of the wheel housing, with about a 5" lift.

    Non-Jeep projects?

Trying to figure out which one is getting "attention" first: the beat to hell, faithful as sunrise old warhorse of an XJ, or the too damn straight and clean bone stock MJ. Decisions,decisions....
