    98 LQ4 4L80 Build

Before you order the Novak swap headers, look into c5 manifolds. They flow well, will bolt up to the head and may fit. I'm currently trying to confirm this now. I have the Novak swap headers and can't keep flange gaskets alive on the pass side. If the c5 manifolds fit, they can be had for like...

    Save the Date! Moab 2018

Is this going to be cross-posted to the other regional sections? Maybe a dumb question... I just ask since I just moved away from socal and just happened upon this thread, but hadn't seen one in the midwest section. There is at least 3-4 of us in the Midwest section that would be in for this trip.

    XJ LM7 5.3 swap

The shallowest pans I was able to find were the Pacific Fab and the Holley ones. Both are very expensive, but the Pac Fab has better baffling for our application.

Project Jevy - A sequence of events

Yeah... I was using Facebook to host the pics but apparently they like to change their links around so none of the pics work. Also, naxja doesn't allow me to edit older posts, so I couldn't make them work even if I wanted to. Now I use Photobucket though, so they should work for a long while.

93 XJ BUILD (WITH LS SWAP)

Are you thinking you need an A/C delete pulley? You don't need one. The A/C compressor is on a completely separate belt than the serpentine. The serpentine goes on the front of the balancer and the a/c ones goes on the back of the balancer to the compressor. Should be able to just remove the...

Project Jevy - A sequence of events

Well... I bought it for its better TIG capability, but I have only welded with it once, on the radius arm bracket you see above. Considering I am coming from a multi-process inverter machine, Lincoln 210MP, I assumed it would be more of the same. Boy was I wrong! On the SMIG process, this thing...

Project Jevy - A sequence of events

It assists! I have a video, but photobucket isn't getting on board right now... Anyway, everything clears everything, from what I could test in my garage with a high lift, floor jack and jack stands. Tried everything at full bump and it doesn't seem like 2 things want to share the same...

Project Jevy - A sequence of events

More updates. I spent a majority of the past week planning and working on my welding cart. I upgraded from a Lincoln 210MP to an Esab Rebel 235 EMP, which means I was able to go to dual bottles for Mig/Tig. I was contemplating forking out the $500+ they are asking for a cart, but they one of...

Project Jevy - A sequence of events

Time for the assits... On a side note, i did pick this sucker up today and I am pretty pumped about it. Its been on my wish list or find list for a few years now. Finally found one that wasn't $300 plus.

93 XJ BUILD (WITH LS SWAP)

You planning on doing the rocker arm trunnion upgrade? I would if I were you. They are out already and it's cheap insurance. I'd also throw lifters into this thing while it's out. LS motors always sound valvetrainy, but new lifters address this. Whenever I go to 041 heads, I'll be doing the...

It sure was man. It's been down for far too long. I'm ready to get this thing dead reliable and wheel/drive it everywhere. Hydro steer from RNR is ordered! No more accidentally unlocking switches because I can't turn. Even with the truck pump, our steering gear has no balls for 37" MTRKs.

    5.3 swap fuel system question.

The stock fuel pump simply won't flow enough volume. You can get by on your pump for starting it and idling around, but when you get into heavy loads, your long fuel trims will start to go positive. Look around at all the guys that have done LS swaps. Most if not all end up upgrading their pump...

    5.3 swap fuel system question.

No need for the regulator at the firewall. Buy the corvette filter/regulator and run a walbro 255 pump. If you have issues with too much fuel, just have someone tune it out via HPT. This way you only have to run a single line to the rails and you deadhead the fuel rails. You are going to have...

Project Jevy - A sequence of events

This site only allows you to post 14 pics per post, stupid....!!!!!!!!! Forgot to post this at the top, but when I moved from CA to Indiana, my window shattered and spydered. I left it as is, hoping it would stay. Welp... apparently 70mph on the trailer is too much for the glass and it blew...

Project Jevy - A sequence of events

So I haven't updated this thing in a coon's age, so I figured it was time I posted up some new pics. I finally got this wheel this thing out in TN and it did Windrock Park and Royal Blue offroad park. The trip did not come without prior drama though. Right before I took off, I had a trans...

93 XJ BUILD (WITH LS SWAP)

A couple of pointers, do the GM TSB and make the RTV damn for the rear knock sensor. Replace both knock sensors while the motor is out. I would also replace the front cover, rear cover gasket, rear main seal and slap a new oil pump with shims while I am there. Cheap insurance for known issues...
