If you found a pre-97 one you could always swap the header panel and doors on, and/or the dash if you were really motivated. I have a 97 header panel and doors on my 96 5 spd.

I don't know about the G2 conversion, but I did the ZJ swap on my 96 and had custom cables made for it by Bruin brake cables. The part number i had made is 97212, and they're longer than stock to accomodate lifted trucks (wanted to be able to flex+6.5" of lift). Hopefully this helps you guys...

These may work on the 8.8, I haven't looked at the e brake connection to say for sure though. The 97+ jeeps have different length cables because they run to the drivers unibody rail, not up the center tunnel like earlier xjs.
