Good stuff, looks like a Mopar stat is in my future. Thanks guys!
Hoping once this issue is fixed my mpg goes back up from 12 to 15, thinking the Jeep is constantly in warm-up mode, maybe dumping fuel. Who knows, and really what do I want out of an 18 year old Jeep on 35s haha.
Hey guys, I've been chasing down this issue for a few months now, and haven't made headway. Looking to see if anyone has had the same issue.
96 XJ 4.0 AX15.
New oem style/single row rad (~5 months old)
New (cheapest) 195 thermostat (~1 month old)
Water pump ~2 years old

If you found a pre-97 one you could always swap the header panel and doors on, and/or the dash if you were really motivated. I have a 97 header panel and doors on my 96 5 spd.
I've got a never installed ARB snorkel that fits 95+ XJs that i'm looking to sell. Boxes are opened, but the snorkel is new.
Located in Mont Clare PA, 20 min outside philly. Not looking to ship this, local pickup only. I can meet someone within reason. $500
Should have pics within the next 2...
Hey guys, I bought 2 pairs of JK wheels that came with tires just for the tires, and don't need the wheels. Wheels have had tires mounted on them but were never driven on, just used for taking pictures of how they'd look on a Jeep.
Here are the part numbers of the 2 different pairs of wheels I...
I have 2 pairs of brand new never installed RedRock wheel spacers that are 5x4.5 bolt pattern. They're black, hubcentric, and come with lug nuts for the spacers and lock tite. Looking for $50 bucks a pair, and I'm located in Mont Clare, PA. Turns out I didn't need them and I don't feel like...
Possibly J&B motorsports in Stowe PA (right outside pottstown), he does a lot of custom fab work. It would be a hike for you though, so I'd hope you have a spare vehicle. His rates aren't unreasonable, i've had him do some work on several of my vehicles and he's a great guy to work with, his...
I don't know about the G2 conversion, but I did the ZJ swap on my 96 and had custom cables made for it by Bruin brake cables. The part number i had made is 97212, and they're longer than stock to accomodate lifted trucks (wanted to be able to flex+6.5" of lift).
Hopefully this helps you guys...
Man, if you were closer or the header panel could be shipped with the headlight bezels, I'd be interested. Not sure I trust UPS not to crush it even if you were shipping though.
What kind of price are you looking at for it? And as long as "Crusty" only counts for dirt and not structural rust or something, I'm fine with it haha.
52" may work for stock (but is shorter than stock) but I can't see them working with a lift. Also, in other threads there are documented problems with those cables having different lengths. Made by crown auto, likely overseas where quality control is something that happens to other people. I'll...
These may work on the 8.8, I haven't looked at the e brake connection to say for sure though.
The 97+ jeeps have different length cables because they run to the drivers unibody rail, not up the center tunnel like earlier xjs.
I know there has been discussions on this in the past but I didn't want to revive a dead thread.
I have a 96 xj with zj disks and about 3"of lift. My stock cables were too rusted and short to do the bend and clamp method of attaching them, so I decided to find new cables that would work. My...
I'm looking for a track bar that fits 5.5-7.5" of lift that is in good shape and comes with the bracket. Double shear style only please. Let me know what brand, condition, and price that you have. Thanks!
Probably a long shot judging by the rust on it, but what kind of shape is the front DS in? The slip joint in mine is shot and it seems to be tough to find a manual front shaft which is what I need. I have no problem doing the front U joint, but need the slip joint and CV to be decent at least...
Yeah I know the market is saturated with junk, I'm just hoping that someone that knows what they're looking at makes a fair offer. Most likely outcome is I keep him and continue pouring money into it.
