You need at least MAPP gas preferably Oxy/Acetylene. Those little propane torches don't do the job. If it's not glowing you're wasting your time. :wierd:
If your truck usually runs a bit hot and you work it hard it *might* be a problem. The hotter the engine gets the thinner the oil will be. I don't know how accurate the stock oil pressure guages are but I'd keep an eye on it.
Ten years ago I took apart the starter in my neon and cleaned the gunk out of it when it wouldn't work, got another three or so years out of it no problems. It is possible to mess up the reassembly though.
I read that thread, not exactly a ringing endorsement for those tires.

Here I thought I was aware of all the tall skinny tires and now I see this.
I've been considering going with a 215/85r16(8.5x30.5) or a 235/85r16(9.5?x31.7). If you want a tall skinny and you're already set on getting new rims I'd go with one of these. Much much more choices in tires.
