    Engine taking longer to catch

    I agree with Tim about the check valve. When my 98 did what you're descibing, it was the fuel check valve in the top of the fuel pump/sender assembly in the tank. If the check valve is bad the fuel pump has to refill and pressurize the fuel rail before the engine fires, thus the longer cranking...
