The terrain out here is the reason I have a Bubba rope and a receiver mounted winch. Also why I'm going to be mounting winches front and rear on my XJ so I can get rid of that sketchy (imho) receiver mount. A winch will get me out of just about anything I can get myself into. Lol
Granted, I'm...
Fine then. d60 front and shaved 14 bolt rear. I HIGHLY doubt I'd ever break those.
I've also read threads where people have made the d30 survive under 35s doing some pretty extreme wheeling. It's all about wheeling style and knowing when not to "hammer down".
I'm also not going to be running...
Depends on what I decide to do. I could put a set of RCV shafts and their warranty to the test in in a trussed d30 and c8.25 or look for a dana 44 front out of a TJ Rubicon and a dana 44 rear out of a Cherokee or do the Ford 8.8 swap in the rear. Or I could wait until I break the Yukon chromoly...
Now THAT'S cool!! :D
Just an FYI. Idk if I said this before, but I'm putting 13" brakes on my lifted Sprintex XJ. Hopefully they fit in the 15" rims. I'd really hate/have zero desire to have to go to a 16" rim and have to get new tires. The 32s I'm on now should last until I decide to go to...
Hmm..... I wonder who did the conversion and posted info about it.. ;)
Like I said. I haven't looked into it in great depth. I'll definitely use your thread for info. :D
I could've sworn that someone swapped the 8.25 into a d35 ABS Cherokee and adapted the ABS to work... I honestly haven't looked into it in great detail yet. Still have to gather the parts from the junkyard and start playing with it.
They do actually make ABS tone rings for the 8.25, so.... It...
This upgrade is not meant to clear smaller rims. Racejeep has 18" rims. I'm not going to limit the upgrade because other people run smaller rims. We are not making this to sell. This is for my own personal use on racejeep ONLY.
I'd be more concerned about the plastic lmao. Gotta love...
I'm not the first person to come up with this method of mounting an "anti-wrap bar" to an axle.

Nowhere in my post did I ask for ideas/help/opinions. You act like no one else on this forum has ever posted a mock up picture...
Thank you for your opinions/concerns and I will take them under advisement.
The other problem is that I'm mounting a custom sway bar to the axle (below the axle tube and diff). Already have the swaybar, just gotta mount it. Lol. The straight parts go right to the stock swaybar mounts on the frame with links.
There isn't any room. Otherwise I would. Lol. Plus my springs are reverse arch spring over which means I can't really go off of the leaf spring plate either.
Uhh.... I guess you could.. All I'm going to do is buy a diff cover ring from RuffStuff Specialties (1/2" thick) and have them make it so there is extra material below the diff and a 1.5" hole. I think I'm also buying the DOM from them too. Then I'm just going to have a local muffler shop do the...
:D
Make an adapter for the caliper. Not going to be too difficult to do. Rotors should pretty much go right on since they're 5x4.5 lug pattern. The only thing that might need to be tweaked is the center hole on the rotors (i.e. enlarged), but again, no biggie to mod them. Lol. Should be a...
