Some feedback... The Revolution gears are quality gears. The shop I had install them had nothing but good things to say about them.
Second, Robert is amazing to work with. Buy with confidence! :yelclap:
OK.. I'm a bone head. Changing the front seal on my 4.0 and grabbed the cover with pliers. Bent the hell out ta the cover itself thinking it was the seal. Doh!!
Anyone have a spare cover they're willing to part with? Or know where I can pick one up?
Feeling pretty smart. 1990 xj 4.0 if the...
Google image search for XJs on a 6" lift with 35s. It depends on what you're doing, whether it'd be right for you. Up to you.
I'm going for more of a "go anywhere" expedition type. I'll be 4-5" with 33" tires. And 4.56 gears I think, probably. But I think you're correct in thinking you wouldn't...

Holy hell, nope! I've seen parts of that all over and have used many of those already to better my Renix. I'll be spending the next hour or so and many an afternoon in the future going through the rest of that list and completing the ones that are pertinent to my 2 door.
I've seen this in a few...

Ok, for all future searchers here was my solution>
After all of the above, I replaced the CPS AGAIN, figuring I possibly melted the wires (It was close to the exhaust header). Modified the top mounting hole, received 0.8 VAC or more now from the CPS.
Next, I found the Pinouts for the ECM to...
Thanks guys. I had re-wired the CPS to the computer backwards... it still had spark every now and then that way, though. Weird! All straightened out. And I've put all the wires in loom and secured away from heat.
I've actually got this thing started. Everything was testing 'ok', I even had the...
Howdy.
I have a 1990 Cherokee 4.0 Laredo 2 door. Bone stock. I've another thread on hear regarding the CPS, which I have fixed (mostly). I'm getting 0.8 vac on crank from the CPS. 195 Ohms. I've wired it directly through the firewall with it's own new set of wires and fitted it to the computer...
No, 1996 is not "Renix". There's a different procedure for you as you have 3 wire leads on your CPS. You have ODB-II error codes that can be read and will tell you if your CPS is bad or not. Any good Auto Parts Store will read those codes for you, bamarider.
The RENIX does not have the error...
