    Should I keep my drums or convert to disc brakes?

    I swapped out my drums for discs in the rear and noticed a huge difference. I used to come down a trail, and have the brake pedal all the way in and would still roll. Talk about a scary situation. Now I have no problem stopping. I also did the WJ mc/booster swap at the same time, which maybe why...

    What did you do to your XJ today

    Started putting the Dana 30 back under the xj after putting the aussie in it. It's been sitting for a while with not having any time to work on it. Finally decided it's time to get it back on the road. Hopefully I can button it all up tomorrow.

    JCR rear tire bumper

    I waited 6 weeks for my sliders from JCR, then I finally got them and they were for the wrong long arm kit. So I had to cut and re-weld them myself, wasn't impressed with the way they mounted either. They also came with cheap hardware, broke 2 self taping bolts on install. I wont buy anything...

    2EXTREME = Celebrity

    It said cages were recommended. I'd like to enter this sometime, but I think I'd like to watch, or maybe be a passenger first.

    2EXTREME = Celebrity

    That does look like a lot of fun, my XJ doesn't meet the requirements (no winch or roll cage). Where does it take place at?

    Anyone have a case spreader?

    Yeah, the axles are completely out. I tried the rag trick, and I just ended up with a few shredded rags. I'm surprised I can't get it out also, I've been doing lots of searching and everyone seems to be able to get it out with a few taps of a hammer and a pry bar.

    Anyone have a case spreader?

    Trying to remove the carrier in my d30 so I can install my Aussie locker. I've tried every trick in the book and it's barely moved. If it's this hard to get out, it's not going to be any easier to put back in. Just thought I'd see if anyone has a case spreader I could borrow before I try and...

    Am I missing something?

    I tried a large pry bar and hammer for the first hour, didn't budge at all.

    Am I missing something?

    I'm trying to install my Aussie locker in my D30. It's a disco that's been converted to a one piece shaft. I'm trying to get the carrier out, and I've tried every trick in the book. Both shafts are completely out, and both bearing caps are off. I've been trying the rag trick for the last hour...

    Noobish Mod related type question

    I don't know about the rear tire carrier. I bought a front bumper from him, similar to the one pictured but without the hoop.

    Man, I wish I would have gone with the rocker replacement. I'm regretting my JCR sliders.

    What did you do to your XJ today

    What are you guys using to change u joints? I've been trying to change out the ones on my axles, and the front drive shaft I'm going to use for my SYE, it's a pain. Thinking about calling Driveline Tech and seeing how much they'd charge in labor. But I'd like to be able to do them myself so I...

    Noobish Mod related type question

    If all you want to do is make a cut straight back from the headlights, then yes you can. For something like that I wouldn't pay a shop to do. If you worried about doing it yourself, I'm sure there's someone on here that's in your area that will help out, or I can help you if your ever near...
