    6.0 LS Swap

Nice Is there anyway you might be able to get some pictures with the suspension cycled without the springs to show how close the driveshaft will get to the driver side exhaust pipe. I know most guys, including myself, had the driveshaft "self clear" a dent into the exhaust pipe coming off the...

    6.0 LS Swap

Sounds awesome! From the video it looks like you got the AC lines ran. I didn't see a compressor in the video or the pictures. What compressor will you be using? And are you using the compressors original location on the lower passenger side? Any pics? EDIT: those are heater core lines...

    6.0 LS Swap

Looks great. I can now see why you would want to mount the trans as high as you can, to get the engine to tilt forward as much as you can.

    6.0 LS Swap

hope you don't mind more questions... So the 6.0 PCM controls the transmission right or does the trans have its own controller? It just needs to be reprogrammed for your specific trans? The reason I ask is... it might be easier for me to find my trans and engine separately. I assume your...

    6.0 LS Swap

You are making great time on the swap. I will be doing this within the next 12 months. Im interested to see what you do with the hood. Few questions: How many miles were on the engine and trans? The novak adapter works for the 4l80e to the NP231? I know the 4.0 and the iron LS blocks are about...

    P0304 P0300 Leak-down and compression test results

135k. I looked for a casting number and found 0630. Are these also known to crack in between #3 and #4? or is it just the early 0331 heads? I don't burn oil currently. No white or blue smoke. There's no signs of coolant in the oil. There were no bubbles in the radiator when I ran the...

    P0304 P0300 Leak-down and compression test results

I have to wonder though if the valves where fixed on #3and 4 the numbers would look more like the rest of the cylinders. 140-150 dry and 160-170 wet.

    P0304 P0300 Leak-down and compression test results

1999 Jeep Cherokee sport 4.0 AW4 So I have been getting p0304 and p0300 CELs every once in a while. It seems to go along with rough idle at times. When its under load it feels fine. I'm riding on 37" tires so its pretty slow to begin with, never noticed a significant decrease in power. I...

Cut a hole in the skid and added mesh for the steering cooler. Spectre intake since the ARB compressor is taking up too much room

    The great white boat Project

Update. XJ's on all four wheels again, got the pump figured out. PSC sent me the integrated resi pump instead. Gone wheeling a few times now. Ditched the wore KM2's and beadlocks for some MTR's and steel wheels. Since the XJ will be a dual purpose rig, I dont trust the beadlocks. A little...

37" tires + auto= Lower gears or just not enough power??

Thanks for the advice so far. Ive done the research I just needed to hear some opinions before I fell into one of my 2am internet shopping sprees. Im tempted to do the gear swap this week but just not sure its going to be worth it. The cost would be roughly $650-$700 for gears and install...

    RE's vs. Deavers

I bought my XJ with deaver springs allready on it. I was worried they would be too stiff in the rocks. They actually did ok... and this past weekend I installed shackle relocation brackets. It helped flatten out the springs for a better ride on road and more droop for the rocks. Im happy with them.

37" tires + auto= Lower gears or just not enough power??

It actually has an intake, headers, exhaust, bbk throttle body, and power distributor ignition that came with the truck when I bought it. The only lower gear choice for the axles are 5.29's. I know a lot of TJs move up to 5.13 or 5.38 with an auto and 37's but they also don't weigh the same as...

37" tires + auto= Lower gears or just not enough power??

Ive got a 99 XJ with 37's, 5" of lift, 4.88's and an auto trans. Engines in very good condition, all tune ups have been done between engine and trans since Feb. when I bought it. Truck drives great on the street, highway, and its a badass on the trail. Only problem is no power on the steep...

    The great white boat Project

Little bit of an updated Little bit of an update... finished the front fenders and rear axle. Before: (not my truck but gives you an idea) After: Accesories mounted: Rear axle: Currie HD 9" housing with 9+ third member, ARB, 4.88's The rear axle had some pretty ugly surface rust all over...

    The great white boat Project

I will be. Once I get to the 3x6 rockers I will be tying in what I can. The rockers will have supports from the plated unibody so it should be easy to tie in the cage once thats done. The exocage is a plan for down the road because I will be moving towards coilovers eventually. I will need shock...

    The great white boat Project

Hey, my names Dan. Ive own a few different trucks over the past few years. I'm coming from a beefed up 2010 Xterra 4x4 which I traded because I was sick of a monthly payment on something I was beating the piss out of. It was brought back to stock and traded in for a civic hybrid and the money...
