I installed mine as well and the stock shackles are hitting the frame side of the relocation brackets. Very jarring and noisy. If I use a different hole to avoid this I end up lifting the jeep higher and that is what I am trying to avoid. Any thoughts brian?
I'm not quite sure I follow what you mean. Why would one want to use the original "stock" location for the shackle? Sorry if I'm being thick headed, but I'm just trying to wrap my head around this install before I buy one.
I have a 93 sport as well, and from the research that I have done, our year XJ won't get the driveline vibes like the others due to a different tail piece on the TC. I am installing a Rubicon 3.5 lift and I am going to wait till I get it on the road at about 75 mph and see what gives.
I'm sure you figured out there is no difference in the head gaskets from the 87 head or the 98 block. My question for you is what intake/exhaust gasket did you use? the renix gasket or the ho gasket set. I'm in the process of doing the same thing except I'm doing a 90 renix to a 93 block.
