Wheel Stud

Just a confirmation post, Dorman PN: 610-449 does the trick for longer wheel studs in the rear with drums. I’m running Spidertrax spacers and only had about half thread engagement on the nuts provided due to the length of the OEM studs on the C8.25. A couple of hours and some elbow grease later...

    Track bar frame mount

Thanks for all the feed back Gents. I was able to get the cotter pin out. I then put it on a drill press to drill out the bolt. I got 1/4 bit through the bolt, then decided to try and get the nut off. Low and behold with less bolt there was less pressure and the nut let loose. Then put it on a...

    Track bar frame mount

It is the one that goes with the standard track bar bracket. I saw StinkFab had one with the “ear” at 2 and 5/8 inches wide. Going to walk out and measure the frame side bushing mount of the track bar this morning.

    Track bar frame mount

Working through installing a lift on my 99 Sport. There was no way I was getting the frame side castellated nut off. Took the bracket off instead, hoping to get the nut off once I had it off for Jeep. On a side note the axle side bolt decided to break as well. Cut the axle side bolt and got the...

Electrical Demons that would make Stephen King happy.

So I decided to do some digging under the dash since one of the issues is when it cranks and I turn the lights on it wants to die. I found a relay shoddily spliced into the harness that runs into the steering column. Wires just twisted and taped. [/IMG]

Sidewinder thanks for your post. I checked all the grounds and they look good. I'm thinking I shorted the CPS when the starter burned up. I have a warranty on that so going to replace it today and see what happens.

Joe, You please bear with ignorance here but load test? Volt meter on the terminals with the key in "start"? Tested the batt with the key off and it was 13+ volts

Electrical Demons that would make Stephen King happy.

Long story short I am having bad electrical issues. codes 1698, 1648, 1899. The way all this started was with changing my oil this morning. Changed the oil and turned the jeep on to warm it up and check fluid levels. When I turned it off the starter kept running. Turned the key back to run the...

    Massive Vacuum Leak

Also I think the flange on the exhaust manifold is too thick. It will probably need to ground down for the intake manifold to fit. My reason for thinking his is because when we took the top bolts out of the manifold it was able to pulled out without loosening the bottom bolts. Which I had...

    Massive Vacuum Leak

Today I replaced my stock exhaust manifold with the APN manifold on my 1999 XJ (approx. 200,000 miles). The stock one was cracked at the collector. After getting everything back together I turned the engine over and immediately got huge RPM's. I turned it off. I repeated several times all with...
