I have a 90' cherokee that I put a durango steering gear in with no problems, I have had this box installed for a very long time about 20,000 miles with no problems.
So the question is why is my power steering pump whining really bad and pushing the fluid out of the little over flow valve at...
I did the gas cap trick, it's only about a month old. Got nothin on that.
I will look at the canister, is there anyway I can put smoke into the system? has anyone done this, what house do I take off to inject the smoke into??
Ok so the code off of a Actron CP9135 Unit is giving me:
P0455: EVAP Emission Control System Leak (Large)
What should I be looking at to see if it needs to be replaced.
I'm working on a 2000 XJ 4.0
So i called Joe Wingate from that website listed above and he said that they will be selling everything off and that there will no longer be the old Smittybilt that we all know.
They have sold the name to Trans American Auto Parts which will keep on with the smittybilt name but it will not be...
starting to make alittle more sense on why there website still works. That's what i told the guy at Quadratec "there website still works and they still list the part number that I am looking for".
anyone know where i can get smittybilt part #:35202-S
so i called Quadratec to see if they had a particular product made by smittybilt and the guy on the phone said that they went out of business???? Does this sound right, i thought they were a good company???
should i use teflon tape or does it need to be grounded. my 90 is a 1 wire to the sender system but my buddies 01 is a 3 wire system can i use teflon on both?
Just a quick question about replacing an oil sender in my 4.0L 90 cherokee i was wondering if i could take it out and not worry about any oil draining out while i do this?
got a 2000 xj power everything, all fuses are good and the oil pressure gauge reads zero and does not change to anything, how do i know it is the sender if it is. Also i have a leak in the back passenger side corner of the truck inside not sure where it is coming from anyone else have this problem??
ok there is a new pump in but it still does the power steering wine, even when the truck is at a stand still (not turning the steering wheel). What do you think is wrong, is there air or something i have done the lock to lock thing. what is the best bolt on power steering pump. 90 xj np242 4.0L...
i have a box made for the driver side, where the spare tire goes, if you are running a spare tire on the roof or somethng then i could sell you this box, it kicks ass and it has three pioneer 10" subs in it i can send pic's threw email just PM me for the email address
yea i am torquing it to spec and using emery cloth to clean the surface so it is good i just wanted to make sure that the rtv will not leak with the trans fluid
i know that there is a cork gasket out there and i am not having good luck with this type can i use the rtv sealent or will the dexron II/III eat it up and leak?
i have noticed that as long as i keep the rpm's under 2500 then i don;t go threw gas like it's going out of style, i have 4.0 aw4 242 3.55 gears with 31x10.5 bfg muds 3in skyjacker just my 2cents
i had this same probelm in my 90 also same shitty closed system type radiator and i lossened the bolts that hold down my optima yellowtop and just moved it over as far as i could in the battery try closest to the fender and it was far enough that the hose did not touch anymore
my 2 cents.
so i have a good for nothing d35 in the rear of my 90 xj np242 aw4 and i was wondering how much motion should be in the yoke if both wheels are on the ground. i am trying to track down a clicking noise. and i think that it might be coming from here. when i took my driveshaft off the yoke to...
