    5 dirty, and one clean...

Soooo, I put a reman head on the '95 Country 4.0, and noticed the intake runners were all dirty inside. 5 of them were real brown, and the number 5 runner was dirty brown too, but very shiney clean on the bottom of the runner right under the fuel injector... Is that the sign of a leaky...

4.0 Piston Quandry from my new 1995

Howdy, Just pulled the cracked head off my 1995 XJ Country, and it seems to have some numbers on the top of each cast piston. The number 50 looks to be cast into the top of each piston, with an arrow, and "FRNT"... Is this a stock 1995 4.0 piston, or is it oversize, or is it just a big fan...

Which leaf springs do you like

I have installed a used set of Deaver leafs, and they work great. Had a set of Rough Country 4.5 on my old '89, and they were good too, but very stiff... The used Deaver springs give that big-Caddy ride, and great flex.

    4.0 Rebuild

One of the best mods i have seen on a Jeep rebuild is to deck the block, make the pistons come up closer to the head, and boost the compression. Not really sure what the limit is on this, but I suspect it may be much like a 292 cubic inch chevy 6, and on those, we run the cold static quench at...
