I have been trying to figure out the problem and have taken it to two mechanics. I use my 2000 xj 2wd 4 cyl automatic xj to deliver mail on Saturdays.
I have to start and stop over and over again all day and the problem is getting worse. When I pull up to the mailbox it just silently dies...
I am looking into buying a Currie bumper for my jeep. It says it is "not rated". Does that mean that it has not been officially tested, but is more then capable of towing trailers? Do the companies have to pay the DOT to test them?
The hidden hitch is made of the same 3/16 steel as the...
This came out of my 97 Cherokee. It has less then 5000 miles on it. It is in new condition, there are no holes or bends in the filter. I think it was about $45.00 new.
$20.00 and it is already oiled and ready to install
I took this off when I traded in my XJ. It originally cost about $125.00 It is in new condition and actually works quite well. When I installed this I also put in a throttle body spacer. Worked great
$65.00 and shipping

I only had this bumper on my 97 Cherokee for about 3 months. I traded in my XJ yesterday for an Unlimited Wrangler. The bumper has all the mounting brackets, bolts, nuts, and washers. Original powder coating. I did weld on the 97+ side pieces that wrap around to the side. Very nice heavy...
My cherokee blew it's engine from the rain last week. Water must have messed with the temperature sensor and caused the head to break and then broke a piston. Anyway I am debating to trade it in or try and fix the engine.
I would be disgusted to trade it in-4.5 lift, safari snorkel, warn...
I have Teraflex UCA and LCA's on my 97 cherokee and a 5" lift. I was thinking over christmas break I could extend my LCA's to convert it to a long arm suspension. I was thinking about a fabbing a bracket by the transfer case crossmember to hold the extended LCA. To extend my LCA I thought I...
I did a search, but I did not get accurate results.
Something under the hood started making a high pitched whinnning noise at idle. When I step on the gas it goes away. When I opened the hood, it sounded like it was coming from the power steering pump. Is it ruined? The bearings burned out...
We are leaving for Moab on Friday. I am going to make a spare tire and gas can holder that fits into my towing receiver. The way I was planning on making it would not give me access to the rear hatch without removing the hitch. I would like to have it swing open, but I don't know how to make...
Can sipes by cut into BFGoodrich mud terrian for better traction on icy roads? My neighbor was trying to tell me I could get sipes cut into any tire for $6 a piece.
I have always wanted mud terrains, but they are not practical for were I live in the mountains. The roads ice over and the snow...

I got a really good deal on Daystar Poly Body Lift Kit on Ebay yesterday for my 97 Jeep Cherokee. The kit says it fits 81-04 Jeep Cherokees. I should have them in the mail next week. I'll post the pictures when I have it installed. The bummer was the shipping cost. It...
I just put a set of brand new "take-offs" from a Jeep Unlimited on my Cherokee. I have always preferred the black side out and was planning on having them reversed. When I looked closer at the wheels, they can only have the white lettering on the outside because they are directional tires...
I finally broke down after two weeks, of adjusting my uca and lca's to try and cure the DW, and took my 97 cherokee in to my local 4x store/shop. They are charging $70 bucks an hour to fix it. So far they replaced all four ball joints and the uca bushings on the axle and it still is wobbling...
I am still trying to get my front axle dialed in. I have adjusted the UCA and LCA to get the Death Wobble out. It is almost gone. It seems that when I adjust them it only changes the speed at which the DW occurs.
Is it okay to see the threads on the UCA? I have them extended so you can see...
My Cherokee drives perfect in the morning when it is cold outside, but when I drive home from work in the afternoon the death wobble returns. I followed the go-jeep method of allignment and pinion angle. I thinking the heat from the day might expand the metal lca's to make them longer?? Is...
Does anyone know about these type of front bumper set-up? I can't find a good picture of what it looks like. I have a winch now but don't have enough money to get the heavy duty bumper. It looks like the black part of the front bumper is replaced with warn's reinforced bumper. As far as I...
Every link to get to the article on the correct allignment and castor anlges at the "gojeep.com" is not the right one or dead. Could someone help me get to the article at gojeep.com that everyone recommends? Thanks for all your help.

I put new 4.5 inch coils on my jeep. I had about a 3" lift before. I also added longer 16.5 lca and my coils have a severe bow in them. Any suggestions on how to get the bow...
