I have a pair of brand new in the box aussie lockers for sale. I bought them for my 2000XJ project and have since sold the jeep. The front axle was a dana 30 and the rear was the chrysler 8.25 31 spline. These are new in the box! They cost me 550.00 shipped to my door so I'd like to get at...

First off, a more reasonable compression with an iron headed small cammed engine is 9.7:1 at the most. Second, quench really starts to deminish after .045 so I recommend .040 as a target. I'm building my Father-in-laws stroker with mild porting to help port velocity, diamond pistons for 9.7:1...

Well, looks like I might do a HP30 and go with 4.56 gears...so much for knowing what I want to do. I'll let you guys know what I think about them with the 31's. Brian

Secretly I really want 4.56 gears....LOL! JIC I want to go 33's but then my D30 might not be up to it. I've been told that the D30 with aftermarket axles will live as good as a OEM D44...any truth to that? With 4.56 gears at 70 mph it should only be 2400rpm so that's still not that...

Do you have any pics of your XJ after the lift? How do you like those tires?? I'm just not sure what to get...I really like Mickey Thompson tires, that's what I run on my '70 Duster for drag racing. They're just so damn pricey!! Been thinking about Goodyear DuraTracks...ahhhh I don't know. Brian
