    reccommend tools for shop

Not sure where you are but here in Canada we have a store called Canadian tire and they sell "Mastercraft" brand tools. Snap on for years hasnt been honoring their lifetime warranty, I know this because several of my family members are mechanics. They used to all use Snap on because of the...

    DIY Drawer and cargo barrier

Looks good, I take it you still have carpet in your Jeep right? My jeep gets dunked often so I'm trying to figure out something to build that allows water to drain towards the drain plugs easily under all the stuff. Like something easily removable after trips.

    Clutch noise and sticking

Is there a way to grease the slave without removing it from the transmission. Everything i've seen online(because i havent had a chance to go out and actually work on it) says its within the bellhousing so I'd rather not drop the transmission if i dont have to.

    Clutch noise and sticking

Thank god its my weekend wheeler lol. I'll leave it where it is, try greasing the slave first, if that doesnt cure it I'll drop the trans and take a peak inside. This all started after it got sunk into a pond. I assumed it was just something got wet and caused it to squeak. I'll take a peak...

    Clutch noise and sticking

Every once and a while after driving for a little bit(maybe 20 minutes) the clutch peddle starts to squeek and gets pretty loud then will stick and i wont be able to get moving. All I usually have to do is pump the peddle a few times and it'll get unstuck and allow me to put it into gear. Its...

    Removing AC rad

Yeah its a simple thing when all the bolts are accessible I did this on my 98 XJ and it took maybe 2 hours including screwing around with other things at the same time. However with this one the top right hand bolt for the front fascia is in a little crevous that is surrounded on 3 sides by the...

    Removing AC rad

Yeah I know how to do that, my problem is the nut for the top drivers side behind the headlight bezel is too close to the edge of the steel so you cant get a socket over it or a wrench onto it. Unless you have an idea as to how I could get the socket on that short of just bashing up the front...

    Removing AC rad

As in the front portion which is steel on the older XJs and plastic on the newer ones? Like grill and headlight mounts etc type thing. Because thats the part that has a bolt super close to the edge so you cant use a socket or wrench on it.

    Removing AC rad

I'm trying to remove the AC rad from my 1994 XJ and it looks like I need to take off the whole front clip of the damn jeep to get it out. The other issue is one of the bolts for the front clip is so close to one side i cant fit a socket or wrench over it so I'm hoping you guys have a better...

simple SYE / Front D shaft question...

Should be able to in most cases... install it and check and full compression and full extension to make sure it doesnt impact in on itself and as long as all the clearences are good you're ready to go. If it doesnt quite fit take it to a shop and have them cut it to length for you.

Synthetic will always be safer however more expensive. Not THAT expensive compared to steel but always more. Personally I wouldn't cheap out.
