If I called you up and told you that you were the grand prize winner, realized my mistake, yes I would feel a consolation prize was in order? I guess my idea of integrity is off base though?
I received a pm saying I won the compressor. I thought wow that is awesome. As we all know I am in the Sierra chapter. Turns out the Midwest chapter won the renewal total and I am ineligible for the prize. Not typically one to make waves, however after being told I finally won something, the...
Anybody on here ever run a rally x event? My wife is taking a rally driving course this weekend and then competing in her first rally x event Sunday in Santa Rosa. She's running my stock 2013 ford focus. Should be a lot of fun.
Baffled as to the cause, unless the frame rail or bracket are bent. At this point I would just redrill the axle side bracket to pull the axle back over enough to clear the coil.
If I were a betting man I'd say your track bar straightened out some. Being that they are bent from the factory it would be hard to tell unless it were laying next to a known non-bent bar. It is the only explanation I can see for it being effectively too long. That or the drivers side frame...
The wd hitch doesn't apply when flat towing a vehicle as there is virtually 0 tongue weight. His brakes are far better than stock with the discs in the rear. Towing would be both legal and possible. I don't understand the idea that some of you would do it if it was the next state over but not...
Not sure where you got your 2000lb tow rating, but that was only for 4 cyl cherokees. All cherokees with a 4.0L were rated for 5k lbs from the factory.
A stock scrambler with no top weighs about 3200 lbs. I doubt no matter how built the scrambler is you didn't add 1800 lbs to it. The factory rating with "marginal brakes" is 5000 lbs. I would buy a $200 tow bar and hook up the cj and see how it feels to you. You would be well within legal...
A modern f150 weighs 5-6k pounds and is rated to tow 10k, an xj is rated to tow 5k and factory ratings are conservative. Just tow the jeep flat with a tow bar.
