Yes, I looked up the OEM part number for the police package and ordered that from Flagship One. Honestly though, I don't know what to say about a 91, being OBD I. 96 was the first year of OBD II and I know how that it requires addition of a switch, wiring and an ECM that has the option if you...
It's an option that when switched on raises the idle rpm to ~1000 while in park or neutral. It was mostly found on police/government packages but is helpful for running heavy electrical loads (winch), or cooling a hot engine. Many lament that 1000 rpm isn't really that useful and I agree, 1250...
96 requires the option to be in the ECM. If your cherokee didn't come with the option then it's not there. Also, the dealer told me they couldn't put it in because when they flash the ECM they do it based on your vin, and my vin didn't have the option.
I wouldn't have thought a 97 ECM would...
A couple emails with Mishimoto and the final answer is that the advertised 22% and 41% airflow increase represents their three fans compared to both factory fans with the clutch hot. Now I just need to decide whether to pull the trigger on this.
Steve, I'm somewhat interested in this, can you help by answering some questions I have?
Referring to the advertised airflow numbers of 41% at idle and 22% at 2500 rpm improvement, Is this comparing all three fans to the mechanical fan, or two fans to the mechanical fan? After all, one of the...
I always buy them from Oreilly, lifetime warranty. They cost more than others but when they fail (and they all will fail eventually) I get a new set free.
There should be no need to remove the headliner. My glass connections were under the rear hatch trim panel, the relay plugs in under the dash, above my right leg and the switch connector was in the dash to the left of the steering column. I might have had to add a fuse too, I can't remember.
My 96 didn't have heated glass, but the wiring was all there. I found a switch, a defrost control relay, and the glass at a wrecking yard, plugged them in and it works great. You'll want to find the relay used because they are very expensive new (hundreds of dollars).
I must be the only one to have gotten a good one, mine went on super easy with zero problems. The only complaints I have are: the latch is cheesy, though easily remedied if I ever get around to it, and, after a few years now the powder seems to be failing and showing rust in a few spots.
That's what I thought, and why I'm confused. I paid with credit card in July, and initially there was no charge. Then in September I got an email saying there was an issue and I needed to contact Mishimoto. When I called (sept 15) I was told that the radiators were now in stock, and that the...
They charged my card one month ago and told me it would be shipping within a few days. I reached out to them last week and was told there was more demand than expected and they sold out quickly, but that they were expecting more in today (10/16). I'm still unsure why they charged my card before...
