Was this on a trail in the salt lake area (like mineral basin)? I am just curious as to the location.

I ran those tires on my toyota pickup a couple years ago and was very happy with them. Great on-road manners, suprising performance off-road, and great tread life. I wouldn't hesitate to get them, especially at a good price.

What t-case came in the 86 with the V6 engine? I need to rebuild my 231, and my bro-in-law just swapped his tranny and t-case out of his 86. I am hoping to be able to use his old t-case for parts. TIA Boyd

Definitely stick with the big name (lincoln, miller, hobart, etc.) as this will simplify finding replacement parts in the future. Also, if you want to go heavy duty, you gotta go 220v, which means extra cost to get an outlet wired up if you don't already have one.
