I have had to do this before. I traveled at highway speeds for at least 30 or 40 miles with no issues. I lost a Ujoint strap and cap and did not have an extra.
Has anyone out there converted a 2 wheel drive to 4wd? I have found a nice 4x2 with low miles and would like to find out how much extra equipment is needed. Is the harness in the 4x2 ready for a transfer case? Is there another CPU/Controller? Are there any brackets missing from the 4X2...

Make sure the shifter knob on the t-case and the handle inside are in the same position "2wd". I had my t-case in neutral and the linkage fit on with the handle in 2wd it was awhile ago but I think it was the linkage was bound up not sure but give it a look

Military/The Terminator?
Anyways they are only ten inches compressed under an unloaded Humvee and are the exact same front and rear. Okay I lied I do not know how to post pics but I can E-mail them. [email protected]
I am in Afghanistan right now and see these things everyday and I would have to say they will be a little over kill, and besides that I think that they are only about 12 to 15 inches compressed. I will go outside right now and take a couple pics.
I do not have half of what you described wrong with mine but I do have a small gap in between the "B" pillar and the trailing edge of the front doors, it has taken me 4 years of no mercy wheelin to aquire just this little bit of distorsion in the unibody. So I guess what I am getting at here is...
Can someone tell me what the weight is of a full width HP Dana 44 housing, for shipping purposes? All that is on it is the steering knuckles carrier and gears.
