in a bit of a sick way, it's comforting to hear that the same problem is happening to someone else. i have about 75K miles and only rarely tow - when i do it's pretty light weight.
i'll drop the fluid twice this weekend and see how things go. anyone know off hand how much fluid the aw4 should...
yes, this was happening before the transmission fluid change.
for the first week following the fluid change it seemed like the problem worsened, now that the fluid change is a bit away it seems that the fluid change may have helped things a bit - but only a bit.
another symptom that i can only...
the auto tranny in my 2001 is acting up. sporadically, when i'm driving along and it's time for the tranny to up-shift it heasitates (usually between 2 & 5 seconds) and acts like it can't. it seems that this typically when under heavy accelleration and usually happens when i'm going between 25...
i'm looking for a CLEAN way to install a sub in the back of my '01 XJ and i came across this (made by JBL).

it is actually made for a 1993-1998 grand cherokee, but because of the jeeper in me i'm wondering if parts made for other cars will work for my purposes.

yesterday when i got home from work and parked my jeep in the garage i never would have guessed that i would have problems on the way to work today.
after driving just a few minutes on the way to work this morning i noticed that my brakes were not their normal, happy selves. they got...
this looks to me like it would kill two birds with one stone (CLICK ME) ... i'm thinking run the tranny fluid through the 4 pass line and the power steering through the 2 pass line.
anyone have any opinions?
about 2 years ago i bought the 4.5" RE super flex lift with new full rear spring packs (the 3.5" packs). i origionally got a lift gain of 5.5" that has since settled to about 5" of lift.
now i want to add about 2" of more lift and am unsure of the best way to do so without sacrificing ride...
they're sold under the name vantage. basically any car audio shop that sells JBL stealthboxes can get one. they come without a sub, but will hold most 10 inchers out there. they mount exactly where jeeper said and if you get them fitted with a cloth cover (kind-of like home stereo speakers)...
how much reworking is required to make the explorer kit work on a d44? i am comfortable "making things work" on all other parts of my jeep with the exception of the brake system...that's what drew me to the TSM kit with new calipers in the first place.
i'd really like to save the $$$, but not...
2001 w/ 4.5 RE kit (+) adj. tracbar & 31's
when i make a sharp turn at a low speed my steering will make this WOOOOT sound. the sound is much more prevalant on left hand turns than right. i've checked and re-checked and everything is tight and greased and there are no visible cracks or tears...
i'm here in the dallas/ft. worth metroplex.
public land doesn't exist, if you want to wheel you either run the risk of a trespassing ticket or have to pay to go to a private park (there are several within a 90 min. drive). there is a state inspection, but if i remember correctly headlights...
i've got to chime in in support of susquehanna motorsports. when it comes to lighting, i won't even think about calling anyone else.
they're the cheapest AUTHORIZED hella dealer i've found
when there is a problem (rare, but let's be realistic) corrections are quick and easy
they're a wealth of...
