    The letters at the end of the part number indicate an update to the part. As long as the original part number is the same it should be compatible however if there's a A B or whatever at the end of the part number that will be the newest version of the part.

    Those oil slingers go on the output shaft there are only there to keep dirt out of the output seal they do a good job probably a good idea to replace it they are called oil slingers other than do not swing oil unless the seal is leaking then I guess technically they would be a oil slinger

    Well I decided to buy one for the hell of it it's made by thermal solutions manufacturing part number is 399233 it's made in Mexico quality doesn't look that great the solder joints are excessive where the core meets the end plates but it seems fairly heavy duty I don't have it put in yet but...

    Engine/Oil Heating Options?

    You do not need to remove the manifold to install a block heater. Just pull the air box knock out the first breeze plug install the block heater takes about 30 minutes.

    5.4 Quarts drained from AW4, how much to put back in initially

    Always use the dipstick when refilling a transmission (if it has one). I am curious how you got over 5 quarts out of the transmission. Did you remove the pan or just the drain plug?

    Ok i have to chime in here. Both putting the cooler before and after the radiator can be correct for a given situation. The only way to determine where to put it is to use a trans temp sensor on the output side of the transmission to monitor the temp of the trans.The average for the aw4 should...
