    Mild Lifting with OEM Parts

    The stock control arms are are surprisingly robust, their design allows for a bit of flex if necessary, but they snap right back. My 98 has +284,000 miles on the stock leaf springs, an Add-A-Leaf plus an extra stock XJ leaf inserted into the leaf pack fixed the slight sag and gives it 3" of lift.

    Typically at 2-3 inches of lift an SYE is not required, and longer lower control arms will be optional, the stockers should be fine. Each XJ is it's own universe, so you may or may not want a transfer case drop. At about 3 inches of lift longer lower control arms will be beneficial.
