I currently have 15x8 rims with 31x10.50's on my 97 XJ I want to go up to a 33x12.5 on a 15x8 rim but I'm not sure what backspacing I need on my new rims is there a estimated amount that most use? Or do I have to measure and if I have to measure how is that done?
I'm getting the RE Hack and Tap SYE, I was wondering if anyone has done one? And if anyone has any tips for installing it. Such as what was used to cut the shaft, and what was done to ensure that the hole is drilled straight.
Thanks

My buddy just bought an 88 XJ with the 4.0 for $350, but the trans slips real bad. We went to the junk yard to find a new one and the guy said there was 2 types of auto trannys one is a lot harder to find. Does anyone know the difference in the 2? And are the 2 interchangable?
Can anyone tell me how to figure out whether my 1997 XJ with the 8.25 has trac-lok? without pulling the cover that is. I have heard that if you jack up the rear and spin the rear tires depending on how they spin in relationship to each other that will tell me. Is that true?
