Needing to add some hood vents and came across these in a search. My question is, will they really keep water out? My biggest concern about doing hood vents is precipitation getting under the hood...
I finally got around to measuring my front articulation for new shocks and came up with these numbers-
23'' extended
14.75 collapsed
Now, I'm confused as to what size shock to get. Do I want a shock that is larger than necessary (i.e. 24'' extended 15.75'' collapsed) or smaller than necessary...
Tried searching but didn't find what I'm looking for.
Seems like all of the disc brake conversions for the D44 rear some kind of cutting/welding to get stuff to fit. My question is, is there a bolt-on alternative BESIDES THE TERAFLEX KIT?
My tilt column has gotten BAD. To the point where it feels like it's barely hanging onto the rest of the column. Is there a way to get inside there and tighten things up, or does this movement mean I have to get a new column?
Trying to bleed the brakes after a WJ MC swap, and I have zero fluid at the calipers. I had fluid when I bled the MC at the lower end of the hardlines, but now I have nada at the wheels. I double flared the proportioning valve end of the lines. Any idea why I'm not getting fluid to the wheels?
Can someone point me to a link where I can purchase the PCV elbows that sit on top of the valve cover? AutoZone and OReilly don't have 'em... Thanks in advance!

Upgrading the following on an '88 Renix-era XJ:
WJ booster and MC
Stainless lines front and rear
And eventually:
Converting to discs in the rear
WJ Akebono front brakes up front
Is it a necessity to run the ZJ proportioning valve? If I do, what kind of flare do the lines require on the ZJ valve?
