x2 run 3rd gear and a tranny cooler. i ran 35s with stocks gears for about 2 years and only used 3rd and i have a stock tranny cooler and got about 15mpg running a 4.0ho auto with a 8 inch lift
i ran an aussie in the front of my cherokee on 35s for years as a DD. the axles arent any weaker but being locked has both tires driving so IMO the u joints become the weak point when your turning and on the gas. if you run the 297x joint they are a lot stronger and wont have as many issues...
i think this would be pretty cool like said before it would be a good idea to get like a few sponsering companies and have some stickers of their companies on our rigs because that would be a good advertisement expecially for the rigs that do make it the whole time plus the driving time on...
they dont completely stop you from getting damage no but being wider helps keep the body away from trees and puts my tires on the obsticale instead of my fenders or quarter panels
surprisingly for one of the guys that went on "that run" on saturady i ended up coming out pretty good considering i guess its probably cause im full width so it helped save everything some so here it goes
passenger door some scratched and a little dent
drivers side pinch seam folded over the...
well now i wish i wasnt on that 18 hour runs i would have loved to have met him. its amazing how normal some "rich" people are and dont let it get to their heads. those are the kind of people that make this world a better place overall
it all honestly depends on what you want to do there there is a lot that no one got to(expect us on the 18 hour trip) cause it was covered in snow none the less all rigs that want to go can find a way to get around and there are a few trails and should be quite fun regardless
we are all thankful for the concern i understand where your coming from about the child my only thing is that this is kris's and my own back yard so we know whats going on in this area(for the most part) but again i can understand your point of view and thats something that i like about this...
like he said we talked it through and all decided me included knowing that my daughter enjoys wheeling and wouldnt have a problem with it i did think about people being concerned about a child being involved but we had everything necessary to stay out there all night and continue in the...
i agree did you tell them kris that the tracks that they were using werent from last week but yesterday lol i would say that we made it a lot easier for them and made it without anyone breaking anything on there suspension lol. i still think that it was a good run and would do it again
well kris did leave out a couple of important aspects. i had my 20 month old daughter with me the whole time but im lucky that shes a good baby and actually looks forward to go wheeling. It was an epic run but i like said before we all will look back and laugh and say remember that time and...
i wouldnt call it a survival run it was definetly challenging at times but for the most part wasnt scary in my opinion but i would have to agree it was the EPIC RUN of NWFest2011
Re: Trail/Road Closures: Condition report
well i dont know who all has ever wheeled at rimrock but honestly its not that tight we have a friend that runs at 83 inches and runs the upper trails its just technical but if your looking for ever push the limits of your rig and want to know what...
