Ok guys here's what i found. Red to Orange 11.8 v, Red to Brown 12.3v, Red to Green 2.3 v, there's continuity between Brown and black and gray/strip red wires which are together in harness. There isnt any continuity in between the big brown and big Orange.? The wires arent too bad of shape and...
You boys have just killed me!!! I've been banging the dash under the fan to make it run everytime i fire her up, changed a light switch this summer cause she melted, flasher light constantly stay on "in the dash". Ever since the whole issue of not startin with the key, the fan is always on...
Im gonna check out up under the dash cause i have changed i switch once and i remember it was all melted. I have changed the whole column out once about 5 years ago and for some reason that rod u r talking about isn't in the steering casing. I don't recall why i didnt put it in there. Tom i...
Its an 87 4.0 . If theres a problem with the solenoid will it affect the voltage gauge on my dash???? Now not even the radio works, and hear clicking when the key is on the "ON" position.
HI All ! I got an 87 4.0 auto, it will not start. It previously screwed up on me about a month ago, it wouldnt start anymore with the key, i would have to go under and jump it off the relay. Now it wont do anything even tryin to jump it/ neutral /park. The battery has 13v, i can hear the fuel...
Okay I have bought the 95 and have started taking her apart. I have noticed that the front diff of my 87 (46/13) and the 95 (39/11) have different teeth counts. Both are 3.55 .Can i still use the gears from the 95 in my 87?? the only reason i dont want to transfer the diffs, is that my 87 has...
The only thing i could foresee as being a problem is time taking all the crap out of the inside so it will work, i cant leave it in my driveway due to the white stuff mother nature gonna start throwing at us. Is it a BIG pain in the ass to make the switch and also the tranny configuration/ECU...
Hi All, I have a few questions... Since i have ruined the front diff on my 87 xj, i have found a 95 xj with 131000km,with a good front diff. These are the parts that mainly interested me besides a few minor parts. Now my questions are: Will my current 87 renix injectors fit on a 95, the reason...
I havent really messed much with gears in a diff. I have changed the seals in the front which I have had to pull out all the gears out, i kept everything in order and put all back in the same place. Im not really sure about the shiming and backlash and really dont want to ruin everything if i do...
I also have a front diff from my 85xj 2.8L which if im not mistaking it should have a 4.10 gear????? If that is the case can i use the gears from inside it, in the housing that im currently using?? then i will just need a 4.10 in the back. thanks
Hi all,
I screwed up today! I had to change my front pinion seal on my 87 cherokee and noticed that I had a loose in my pinion so i wanted to change my bearing. I was running out of time and had to move the truck cause i couldnt close the garage, i went back 10 feet and forward 8 feet and crack...
I had a similar issue with the same winch. The only thing was it that it was 40 days old and started doing that "Clicking" Noise after i did a light pull. The place i bought it from which is Canadian Tire, wouldnt not exchange it due to the fact I was 10 days past the 30 day return policy. To...
Today was the day that I decided to unplug the o2 sensor and check for a difference. HA there wasnt one, and there was 14 volts coming from one wire and 5 from the other. It doesnt make any difference plugged or not. Do you reckon shes shot?
OK perfect I will go do that, D9 is the 5V right just for my own knowledge? Also if I don't have any resistance there what else must I check while im out there in the snow so I don't have to come back in.
So basically from what I understand is that you want me to unplug the ECM which is under the dash right? And then run the resistance from the ground on the ECM to the ground on the O2 Plug. I did check the wires from O2 to its own plug and they aren't melted at all, now i just need to know where...
Well i'm still fighting this jeep and wont give up just makes me more determined. I have checked the O2 sensor with meters accord to ecomike and I do have the proper voltages except for when the truck is running, it keeps jumpin from .92. to 4.96 all the time idle or highway. Now I'm getting...
For sure it is 3/8. But the thing is, the crossover part is the same thing as a 94 sensor. The only question I'm wondering is will it work properly since i have to solder directly to the sensor itself due to the fact the connectors arent the same. Right now the 87 that I have has its own wire...
I might have lost my mind but I cant get that to work under the part number and cant even find it under a search. If you dont mind post direct link. Damn Canuck EH!
