I installed my HD tie rod and drag link and had the alignment done on it and when i went to pick it up the guy said i needed a chamber kit which way 300$ extra is this a bunch of bologna or is this needed? i just thought a straight axle would be easy to align.

I have a 91 xj w/4.0 and since I bought it its been a little noisy kinda like knocking so I bought a stethoscope and the noise I was hearing was in between oil pan and tranny crankshaft bearings? Any thoughts or suggestions for me? I would really like to fix the problem without taking engine out...
