    Shifting problem with AW4

    There's an in-line fuse -- 10A, I think -- wraped in tape just before the TCU, and there's another fuse for the AW-4 on the fuse block. It might be one of those.

    XJ acting funny-looking for advice

    Does the end of the positive cable look fried? Sometimes the cable going to the starter solenoid can wear thin and develop pinholes in the insulation. When you try to turn the engine over the positive cable grounds out and energizes the chasis. It doesn't happen everytime, just intermittently...
