For the spare? It keeps the hatch from rattling….
For the rest, not really for how I use it. It could probably use a little trimming in hidden areas or slightly extended bump stops, which are cheap and easy.
Funny, I have a BDS 3” on my 1989 Wagoneer.
With 16s it seems most tires with AT or MT tread are going to be load range E, stiff and heavy. I do have 245/75R16 because I got hooked up with old TJ Rubicon wheels.
I’d get LT tires or load range C (or higher).
Measure the wheels that you have and get spacers that are long enough for the hub studs to not bottom out on the back face of the wheel, and try for somewhere around 4.25”-5.25” net backspacing (wheel BS minus adapter thickness).

How did you fix/improve the windows?
I ordered a new window motor from rockauto but the existing one (1989) is riveted in and I did not feel ready to drill them.
And did you do the “Greg Smith” door lock relay upgrade or something else?
So I have an open weekend coming up and I asked my little wheeling buddy if she wanted to go back to Frank Raines or try exploring Stonyford and could barely finish the question before she shouted “Frank Raines!”
So we’re headed back next weekend.
We will have the buggy, toyhauler, and RC...
