Hey I searched and couldnt find a good answer. Thinking of swapping a xj 44 into his jeep but he has ABS and doesnt want to lose it.(I know I tried talking him into ditching it) Would pulling the disk brakes from a grand with ABS work bolt onto the xj housing?
Thanks for any help.
Hey there I just did this swap with warn hubs. I went to the junk yard and pulled everything out of a 79 f250 with a dana 44. All you need is the spring, drive slug for the new hubs, axle retaining clip, inner hub assembly and the hub. There is a large retaining ring that holds the inner hub in...
Hey I've never seen one before but my neighbor pulled one off of a 97 for me in the junk yard yesterday. The jeep was 100% stock no modifications at all So I dont think it was from a ZJ. Any clues?
No stock 4.10 in the rodeo axle. From what I was reading was only 4cyl models had 4.56 and my local pick apart has about 20 rodeo a month and for 3-4 months never saw one 4 banger. I asked about the wiring and he didnt remember why he did that. Hopefully the marine core machanics taught him...
Waggy axle in place

Combination of tj tierod to blazer tie rod wrapped in .250 wall 1.5 DOM to factory waggy steering.
Rear rodeo axle installed

1303-27cv shaft installed. FOund out that d44 snouts are longer so factory...
Hey been lurking around here while collecting parts for my XJ. This is my 3rd xj and this one I got for free from the inlaws after their son left for the marines. Its a 2001with about 75000 on it. Had several electrical problems that was from bad wiring from the amp he had installed. Lots of...
Hey everyone Ive been doing an intense build up from stock to longarm with d44 front and rear. Before I weld my rear axle perchI need to get the sye yoke on. Would you guys mind verifying before I cut? Im pretty sure its correct. Thanks!!!!
Well I ordered my kit today and it will be shipped around the 10th. So I have to finish my lockers and gears in my 44's hopefully in the next week depending on when they come. So in the next couple of weeks I will be going at it.
The only difference with the rodeo is a thicker gear because of the carrier break. Gears are like 20 bucks more. For lockers u have to use a 3.73 and down locker no big deal. Yeah the cherokee 44 bolts in but disks are nice. I have a waggy front so i kept the 6 lug pattern and spaced the rear to...
convienent I can see for someone who cant weld. Still going to have to swap gears either way (some rodeo had 4.56 stock). Other than that I have to politely disagree and I am running this axle myself not a friend of mine or hear say from someone else.
