I have the same problems with 6.5'' of lift with 33's. After the helpful info I received from my thred I think I'm going to get control arm drop brackets and a new adjustable trac bar.
How wide are they? The website says 36-38 waist, I wonder how exact that is. I'm 6'4'' 250 with a 38'' waist and was wondering if I'd fit in the baja ss seats.
I have a 4.5'' lift with 2'' spacer/shackles, so 6.5''. I don't want to go get an alignment and then find out that worn out parts are keeping me from getting a good alignment. Why should I stay away from Rusty's? What other sites do you suggest?
From what I can tell it is the stock one, plus the jeep was in a front end collision and the tie rod was bent (already replaced that) so I'm guessing the trac bar is shot. That is why it is on my list of things to get.
So after my "Death Wobble" thread and helpful suggestions it's been determined that there are several things that could be causing my death wobble. So I am making up a list of things to buy fairly soon to fix this. Along with these parts I will be getting an alignment. This list is as...
As said above the spring compressor isn't necessarily needed but it will really help. If I were you I'd jack up the front of the jeep and put jack stands under your frame allowing your axle to droop all the way. Unbolt the retaining clips holding your springs and use a spring compressor and...
No, my axle is centered under the vehicle. I followed the instructions and re-drilled the trac bar hole 3/4'' to the right of the stock hole. I don't doubt that my alignment is off but after replacing my tie rod and getting the tires balanced I'd think it would be a little better.
Thanks for all the replies guys. No I do not have a drop pitman arm but it is on my "to buy" list. And no I haven't gotten an alignment yet, the jeep isn't registered or inspected I bought it to be strictly a wheeling rig but I'll probably just trailer it somewhere to get it aligned. An...
I've been a member here for a few months but haven't posted much at all. Figured I'd share my bumper build, if this is in the wrong section sorry :looney:. I don't have many pictures but here it is.
The jeep was in a front end collision by previous owners and the frame was tweaked. So I...
I tried searching and I found some good information but nothing has seemed to work so far. So sorry if this has been asked a lot.
I have a 93 xj that I have put a 4.5'' Rough Country lift with 2'' coil spacers and 2'' shackles, so essentially 6.5'' of lift. I have 33x13.5x15 super swamper...
