35 ABS to 44 NON ABS

First, have you talked to the Jeep wrecking yards like J&W near Sacramento, CA or Davey's Jeep in OH? If memory serves me, these parts were only used in rigs from 1989 to 1991 or thereabouts. If you're hitting local wrecking yards, try finding the upscale Wagoneer model XJ as many of them came...

    Side view mirror question

The 97+ are bolt folding replacements that actually fold both ways. I've been running them for several years and wouldn't go back.

    Spectre Filter Problem

A few years ago I had just the opposite problem with a Spectre cone filter. The chrome center cap dislodged from the top of the filter and landed right in the middle of the Renix throttle body, instantly bringing the rig to an idle. There wasn't enough air flow to move it past about 900 rpm. The...

How popular / how many have: Quad headlight Wagoneer's?

I finished the swap to the big headlight over the weekend. Two hours start to finish, completely plug & play and very easy to do.

How popular / how many have: Quad headlight Wagoneer's?

How cheap would it have to be? I'm swapping mine out for the larger headlight Cherokee variant as the smaller headlights are so marginal in use. Mine is a '90 and while I haven't decided to offload it, I might be persuaded.

I've really enjoyed them and they work well.

    New Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac???

Goodyear does a lot of private label stuff for Wal-Mart. While it will have the Goodyear name on it, the tread patterns and names will be different and the warranty is only good at Wal-Mart. I'm not making a judgment one way or another but it makes it harder to compare pricing and longevity...

    New Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac???

I've never driven the old ones and can't speculate or compare. My experience has been with a variety of BFG products.

    RE 1600 bolt

Just to be clear, the 1600 is good for that lift height in that orientation in single shear. Add the proper bracket and it works for larger lifts.

XJ's with mobile rigs (ham radio)

Add a cage and then the possibilities are endless. My ICOM 121 is sitting on top of my dash clamped onto my dash cross tube.

    Need a little math help.

Do you get a large refund each year? If so, consider filing a W-4 with more exemptions so each paycheck is larger. You won't get the big refund every year but you will get more money every week instead. Here's your calculator: http://www.irs.gov/individuals/article/0,,id=96196,00.html

    RE 1600 bolt

Here's the piece that Kevin's Offroad sells. Note that the original bracket appears to be stock.

    RE 1600 bolt

I can look for a photo but in the meanwhile you might want to look into a left threaded 3/4" shank tie rod end for the end of the trackbar and use a stock trackbar bracket with the stock sized hole.

    RE 1600 bolt

If you don't want to put the RE bracket on, put the stock bracket on the bench and weld on some u-channel and make your own. Putting it into double shear is critical to making this work correctly. I've yet to see or hear of anyone that has used the stock bracket in single shear that wasn't...

    Finished CO2 mount

The yellow tank looks more like a regular air tank, possibly a Scott or something similar, from the fire service where it may have used as an SCBA.

    Finished CO2 mount

That's helpful. When you can, get it swapped for aluminum. That'll shave a few more pounds off and make it a little easier to handle as the cylinder bottom is flat as opposed to fluted like the steel bottle.
