Do the auto transmission and manual transmission XJs use different engine control computers? That might cause no-start problems after a transmission swap.

IIRC, I paid about $15 for the switches that go on the steering wheel (eBay), about $20 for the clockspring, and $25 for the vacuum throttle actuator (both of those from the junkyard). I had a spare lamp for the dashboard cruise indicator already, so I didn't need to worry about that at all...

It's got the Chrysler 8.25 rear end (27 spline, I believe). The front driver's side floor pan is gone from the u-channel to the rocker panel, the front passenger side has a couple of large holes in it (it's not as bad as the driver's side).

I did that on my '96 Cherokee, and will do it on the '98. The headlight brightener and fog light relays/fuses all went in the PDC. Really easy, and it looks like a factory install...
