I have the tailbone and love it! I will be getting my backbone tomorrow. I am sure I will love it as well.
The tailbone latches firmly and does not rattle. I have no complaints yet.
Was thinking of putting pre 97 bumper end caps on with the backbone that I am getting.
I have a 99 with factory flares. I want to get rid of the low hanging part of the end caps. I know I could just cut them but I think the early end caps might look better.
Has anyone done this? Photos?
I may just end up giving this thing away. I see now where JCR is now offering 20% off the price that I paid for this thing a month ago.
I paid $449 plus shipping. Now you can get it for $359 plus shipping from them.
I am going to lose about $200 on this thing.
Price reduced to $350 and...
I guess I need to learn how to post photos on here. Just seems to be a PITA.
This item really does not need photos for a potential buyer. It is 100% new. Just painted black. Can be repainted any color.
Item can be viewed at...
Just installed my new JCR winch bumper and it looks out of balance with my rear bumper with Tailbone. I am going to go the backbone route.
I know I will lose approach angle clearance.
I have primed and painted the bumper "Hammered Black". Will sell for $400 and I will pay for first $50 of...
I thought that I would like to get a Warn free spin hub converion but then I came across the Mile Marker version. http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1&part=MMK%2D33%2D50020&N=700+115&autoview=sku
It costs about 1/2 what the warn costs but it uses unit bearings. What do you...
I noticed that the results of the poll are favoring neither flare. I just don't understand that. I love having options. I would vote for you making both ridgid and flexible if that was an option. I would love to have some of those like in your photo. I personally think BW's look like crap...
I would get some of the GM E.O.S. break in lube and add it to the oil. Do a search about low zinc oil and cam failures. From what I have researched the EPA has required that lower amounts of zinc be added to oil.
I know that I have read enough about cam failures on "new" jeep motors that I...
If I swap in my 8.8 that I have on hand for the 8.25, I will have to get a flange adapter. Will this increase the distance of the yoke to axle center enough that I will have to get a shorter driveshaft?
I see some vendors have adjustable lower control arms that you just leave the jam nuts loose for flexing. Why could a person not do the same with yours? I know the threads would wear faster but I suppose they could be loosened for wheeling and tightened back up for highway use.
