You do not want a TTB D50 (twin traction beam) ford. It is not a strait conventional axle. If you had a D60 front it shares some parts (outers and hubs). FWIW, as far as i know, no 3/4ton truck has come with 1 ton axles in the front. What i mean is, if your looking for a cheap front 60 only...

Mine in the pics are standard thread. It is 1 1/2" allthread, it fit pretty well inside the skyjacker lowers, And I punched a 3/4" hole through the receiving tube for another aditional 1 1/2" of pluggweld. If anything it (could) bend, but i dont see it braking anytime soon.

Well after using my friends scanner it turns out to be an O2 censor. But my surging issue seems to come from water in the gas.

This is all very good info. Thanks for the help. On the threads, if i dial mine in maby a tack weld or two might be in order. I have not had a front end alignment done yet (due to the not quiet right yet lowers). But my jeep feels "light" in the frontend (guessing im lacking toe in). So...

I had the exact same thing happen to me. My rear springs just crapped out after some hard wheeling. I installed a couple of chevy 3/4ton chevy long leafs, and kept my main leaf, the ride is allitle stiffer but i can load up the rear and it has yet to crap out on me.

1996. 4" lift with 2" spacers.

When i steer hard right to left, i get a hard pop in the front axle. I Have a Rustys tierod aswell as steering bar. Any ideas? Thanks.

Yes the nuts are welded. Without disconnecting one side of the lower arm you cannot disconnect or unthread the nut bolt combo. Thank you for your input. Im not looking to argue, but good input is what im after. Cheers.

I only have a nut on one side because the rotation of the bolt to the nut would eliminate tention aginst the bushing. If you have bushings on both ends, then when one side is low and the other side high, then your under a bind. This way one end can rotate, and relieve some of the bind. Yes the...

Critisism is somthing i have no problem with. Please tell me what problems you see with my lowers. And what i can do to correct the problem. I am not atall looking for a fight, just some advise and input. I joind this site for just that. I figured allot of guys running XJs could help me out...

My jeep has been sitting for awile. I suspect water in the gas. My problem is to intermittant for me to think it is mechanical. I know my o2 is probably out, and until tomorow (scanner), i can fix what the cpu tells me. Yes my jeep is OBD2 It might just be coionsidental that the heat worked...

Right now im @ 16' 3/4". That site sais i need to be at 17". I currently have no death wobble, but she feels allitle light up front. Ill roll them out 1/4" tomorow and see how that feels. Thanks for the helpNAXJA

I was planning on running the scanner tomorow. But I ran some HEAT (water removal), and some injecter cleaner. And it seems to have fixed the problem.......So far anyway. Ill run the scanner tomorow and go from there. Thanks:thumbup:

I have 6" of lift, And my lower control arms were to short. So I made mine adjustable, but havent quiet got it dialed in yet. Eye to eye how long should they be.
