yeah after thinking about it a bit, i'd lean more towards your numbers than the ones i originally threw out. :thumbup:

i think you also have to weigh how much towing you do. if you do 90% commuting and 10% towing, i'd lean toward a late model half ton. if you do 50/50 commuting/towing, i'd go with a 3/4 ton... and if you do mostly towing with little commuting, then i'd go with a 1 ton. not necessarily...

it'll be "surround" by default running a head unit with 4 outputs. speaker placement is the only thing i don't like about my TJ and XJ. the sound stage should be in front of you, not behind you. i used to compete in sound quality competitions, so it's just a pet peeve.. lol..

the speakers over your head will drown out the rear ones.

watch out for the chromed weld holding the two bars together too... i sliced my thumb open on that one time. that taught me to wear leather gloves any time i'm working with it.
