I drove home from work last night and the jeep was running fine. I got up this morning to go get a energy drink at the local 7-11 and the prblems start...
started the jeep and it seemed to be loping.. gave it some gas and it was kinda sputtering. finaly got it to where i felt ok driving it...
This problem has been perplexing me for the better part of a month.
Problem:
1. When I attempt to start the Jeep it fires and stays on as long as the key is in the start position as soon as I let the key go (returning it to the on position) it DIES :-(
2. When i do get it running (see below...

I bought an XJ that someone had chopped. They used the lift gate to partially close in the back and the botom half of the lift gate as a ghetto rigged tail gate. Obviously this won't work for wheelin, one it would be real cold and two it looks terrible.
So i saw that alot of NAXJA jeeps used...

just picked-up a jeep (89 wagoneer).
Was told the trans was slipping and after seeing the sludge under the valve cap,i figured the guy i bought it from may not have taken care of it.
So I drained the trans fluid (which wasn't much) and replaced the pan gasket and the main pump...
I recently bought a chopped jeep and was told it need a transmission. so today i bought a used one. after buying it i realized it is a Aisin 30-43LE. after researching it i found that this came with 2wd XJ's.
Question: Will the Aisin 30-43LE work on a 4WD or do i have to have an Aisin 30-40LE...
