So i know that 78 and newer broncos have .25" tubes, making them a poor idea for a dana 44 upgrade... But if i used a truss kit and built my own custom spring mounts, wouldnt it hold up fine?
Hey all I searched a bit but I couldn't find any specifics. I found a front end d44 from a 87 waggy. No hubs or brakes on it. But has axles and spindles carrier etc... Is this a disc brake front? I dunno?
I have a d30 w/4.88 going in now. But I know a d44 is gonna be my futures so I'm thinking...
so i have a wj front end, brakes, calipers, hubs, the whole nine... except the steering. but from what i understand to upgrade i basically just have to drill the bolt pattern for my xj on the hubs, and get the steering peices?
i read this article and that seems that all i have to do...
Ok so today I ordered the iron rock off road adjustable long arm upgrade, some dt8000 shocks, the over the knuckle steering kit.
Now 4 wheel parts has a sale and I am wondering what brand bead lock rims to buy and what tires in size 35 some fellow xj runners would reccomend?

Ok so I did lots of reading and i finally bought the super 8.8 kit. So i was thinking i might as well run a full spool in the rear with my 4.88's.
I know it will be locked in the rear and will chirp tires, but full spools are very strong and cheap.
I am updating a 89 4.2 liter carb. wrangler to a 89 XJ 4.0 Renix engine swap.
I have the motor, harness and computer. My question is what terminals do i supply power to the computer with or does anyone have any insight on this swap.

I am swapping out my bad engine for a engine that came from an automatic xj.
It's a 89 manual xj, I have an ax 15 but I think the current tranny is different. do I need to complete this swap? I was thinking obviously clutch pressure plate, flywheel. Isn't there some kind of spot on the...

Installed the HNT from RE with a Front ZJ driveshaft converted to the flange for the RE kit.
I am experiencing vibrations at higher speeds say 55 to 60 mph. Anyone think i need to get my driveline balanced? or could the pinion angle be off?
