Have a 99 XJ, 3.5" lift. A little vibe after install from 30-40 with my .75" t-case drop but nothin bad at all... I installed a skidrow t-case skid and now whenever i turn right and accelerate through a right hand turn, I hear a grinding or scraping sound coming from beneath my seat... its only...
Yep not too picky on it. Prefer it to be mounted on a 15" wheel. And Im lookin to do it pretty cheap so in TX is best so as to not ship and kill a deal.
I have a 99XJ and I am about to put in an 8.25 from a '97 with non abs. I heard to disable ABS all I needed to do is pull the fuse and breaker. But my book shows that the fuse also controls the climate control, brake controller, and cooling fan. So can I pull it? I dont want the annoying ABS...
I just picked up an 8.25 from a 97 w/ the factory limited slip. I was going to drain and refill it and prolly grind a little off the bottom lip before I installed it. My question is though what type of fluid do I need to put in and do I need to add an additive because of the factory limited...
I have a 99 with 242 D35 combo... I am going to an 8.25/LS from a 97 with a 231. I can get a drive shaft from a 91 242/ 8.25 combo for pretty cheap. I know my driveshaft wont fit after the switch but will the 91 fit?
Possible way to not use SYE?
An driveshaft shop near me has an extended slipyoke with a fitting for a cv and then take the stock shaft and put a cv on it. What do yall think? Being all this could be had for just a tiny bit more than the cost of the RE hack n' tap

Well I was going to build a custom t-case skid but I can't find any metal for cheap enough to warrant the work involved. So should I go with rusty's or skidrow since they are pretty much equivalent in price.

I can get a cheap 8.25 with factory limited slip from my friends '97 XJ with a NP231. I have a D35C in my 99 XJ with a NP242. Would my driveshaft work with the 8.25?
