    Wow… I had to look up winch rope prices. 5 years ago a smittybilt rope was $100. My recommendation is always going to be rope over cable. Far easier to work with, lighter, and safer under tension. That said, I would gamble on off brand dyneema. Thought I would not want a cheap hook on it.

    I’ve broken 8.25 shafts. Broken D30 shafts. Broken chromo 44 shafts. Broken 300M u joint. All on 35s. The only thing that lead a trouble free life was my 35 spline 9” (chromo shafts). Really come down to your usage. But 37s are beyond what most would deem “acceptable” for a D30.

    Been done lots. Doing only the passenger knuckle, I assume you want to run the drag link to the high steer arm and thetie rod on the stock steering horns? I’d you don’t know off hand, you’ll first want to check if you have Ford or GM knuckles/spindles.
