How many caster shims did it take behind your short arms to get a satisfactory, vibration free ride? With a 4" lift and 33" tires I needed 3 thick and one thin behind my RE short LCA's.

Ran Spring Creek today (5/21) with the new setup. What an improvement! Made it up to the Rock Garden where the snow was still pretty deep.

After running Chinamens with the chapter in April I've added Detroit Tru Tracs front and rear (formerly open/trac loc) and went to 33x10.50 BFG AT up from Cooper 31x10.50. Some judicious fender trimming and a JCR Off Road bumper complete the new look.

I just received and installed my JCR front bumper. I ordered the uni-body tie ins with it. During shipping the passenger side bracket escaped the box. They immediatley shipped a replacement. The bumper bolted right up and looks great. The drivers side bracket doubles as a steering box reinforcement.

I've had both and I prefer the Tru Trac. It is not a true locker but a gear driven limited slip.It is invisible on the street and will do almost everything a locker will unless one wheel is off the ground,then apply a little brake.

Thank you all for your erudite advice. The decision has been made to go with a Tru Trac front with 297 joint axles and a Soft Locker in the rear with 29 spline axles. I already have 4.10 gears. I'm tired of being the weak sister on the trails. Bill
