    Big thanks to Sandy Steve

I agree with everyone else. Thanks so much for this Steve! Even without being there for long this year, it was super fun to see everyone at the BBQ and wheel Hells. That run went super smooth and fast!

    Friday Night Dinner

I posted this in the "Who's going" thread, but I'll repeat it here to have it in the correct spot. 2 including myself for dinner.

    Who is going?

Sounds great. Count me in for 2, including myself. Since I'm rolling in mid-Friday it'll have to be at the event.

    Who is going?

Thanks SandySteve. That's the current plan! If it's not too late to say so, I would also like to hit the dinner Friday but I couldn't tell, is that a pay at the door deal?

    Who is going?

I just got approval for time off for this Fri-Mon, so I should be around town. This won't be a pure Fall Fling wheeling trip for me, but I'll probably run into some people here and there for some trails.

Reusing gears with bad wear pattern?

I wouldn't have had a problem justifying reusing if everyone said it's no big deal, just a little noise... but it doesn't sound like the right way to save a little money especially since it'll take a gear setup either way.

Reusing gears with bad wear pattern?

Thanks Troy. It is a front axle on a non-dd, so I was thinking noise may not matter too much, but your description of the actual contact of teeth makes sense. Given what I once in a while subject those gears to, going with new gears just seems to be the logical choice.

Reusing gears with bad wear pattern?

Any of you experts know if it's a bad idea to re-use gears that have an unusual wear pattern in them. I know at a minimum they'll be noisy, but if there's no broken teeth or signs of overheating could they still be weakened in some way? The other week I found out that bad stuff has happened in...

    Fall Fling pics and vids

A collection of the pictures I took are hosted here: http://s229.photobucket.com/user/bjr7178/library/10-09%2012-14%20NAXJA%20Fall%20Fling It's mostly pictures from Pritchett on Thursday and Hell's Revenge on Saturday. Included are a few pictures of my leaf spring trail fix, and what I believe...

    THANKS

Everyone who worked to put this on (organizers, trail leaders, etc) deserve a big thanks. It was a good time. I also owe a huge thanks to Shaun (smsorensen), for the generous use of his garage and tools to fix my Jeep. Although I took it easy, I was able to wheel another day and drive home...

Dang electric motors have gotten expensive

I picked up a 5HP Leeson motor for my compressor from this eBay seller almost two years ago: http://www.ebay.com/usr/hodgepdg527 Offers many types of motors but the less expensive ones, which is what I bought, are currently running about $260 with free shipping. Came brand new in box, and...

    AEM UEGO AFR gauge

Yup. I figured you're solid for buying it if you say you want it, but at about half the cost of new I didn't want to take a chance missing out being second in line. I occasionally think about getting a wideband but can't justify cost of new.

If for some reason Tom backs out I'm very interested.

    2nd Quarter M&G, May 17th

I consider the TrXus legit, and roughly equivalent to KM2s or Kevlars. Anyone who considers them just an AT tire is fooling themselves. Noisy on road and hard to balance, but otherwise excellent performance. Off road traction (in Moab) seemed to be slightly worse than the KM2s, but still...
