Go look at most any dedicated higher end trail rig.
You won't see many CV's...for good reason.
I ditched my front CV for single cardan (1350 at both ends), and if my rear weren't a Toyota CV, it would be gone too.
CV's are weak and just additional failure points.
The real purpose of a CV...
50 would be nice, but would still need "things" to do to keep my busy.
So I'd either spend too much money on traveling and such, or too much money on a shop/equipment etc. and make some side spending money that way :D
I've got ~15 pairs of these still in packaging from being a former LED Vendor. At this point, just looking to make more room in the shop, and I don't have plans for their use (have several pairs saved for myself already).
They're meant to connect two lights (e.g. light pods). Each connector leg...
Congrats!
I've got (planned) 20 years until retirement at 55
Well, planned in that I don't "have" to work, but should hopefully be able to move to being a consultant or something under my own means and make the moolah.
Trucking seems like it could be fun, or really not :D
Well, just sold an XJ.
2000 with ~215k on it.
Got $6800 for it, sold it in less than 24 hours and had a line of a least a dozen people, with several ready with cash in hand. Even had a guy drive down from Riverton, WY just in case the sale to the first buyers didn't go through.
Likely could...
Supply vs. Demand, and people still want them.
I've got a 2000 XJ flip with ~215k that I've put quite a bit of work into.
I'll be listing it for $6500...
Looking for a 29 Spline 8.25, 3.55 gears to replace one in a Jeep.
Figure I'd see if anyone here has anything sitting around before I make a Yard trip.
A small schoolbus could make it through the chutes honestly.
Moody Hill can be fun, some obstacles that most won't make. There's one I've made only once, and other times haven't decided to push it since its a possibly high consequence line. It's good to go to with a group and play around for a...
It will work...but why not do it right the first time?
I've got AN fittings on two different AW4s (daily and my buggy). Once you start moving to AN fittings, putting barb on anything just seems...not worth it.
In NoCO? Sure, there's Kelly Flats, Moody, etc.
Most of us? Not worth the gas there unless something else is going on...since trails like Kelly Flats are essentially a dirt road with one optional obstacle offshoot.
Unless it's private property...not much in NoCo.
I got these from someone, but realized my interior color (newer model) is different. Looking to see if anyone would like the stuff (free). Located in Fort Collins just Northwest of CSU. This color I believe is the 97-98 interior color, prior to the darker (agate) color in 99-01.
CL ad for pics...
100% agreed.
I still DD my 2001, but would likely go WJ next go around if not newer...though I'll be DD my wife's 96 when we get her a new vehicle this year.
Built this thing and have had it out wheeling one trip.
Still, to this day...have had the most luck with the Spectra CU1193 radiator.
My Jeep, wife's Jeep, even putting one in the current flip Jeep.
Hard to beat for ~$85.
Quite a few of us been there...done that.
National stopped giving a hoot outside of their local chapters a long time ago.
Tis the reason many (most) of us don't red letter up anymore...does nothing but line National's pockets without a red cent much going towards our chapter.
Even when we'd...
Looking for some parts for a 2000 XJ.
Figure I'd see about possibly anyone here, before getting stuff from LKQ and UPAP.
Needed:
- 231 Tcase
- Interior front Door Panels (Gray)
- Silver front passenger fender
- Silver Drivers door (complete or not)
- PS pump pulley
Got some other small misc...
Thanks for the info on that.
Ironically I was looking at that exact showerhead, as perusing RV/Camper forums, the name had been mentioned several times over.
I'm moving everything to the nickel/stainless for not only aethestics, but because man do the faucets and such feel cheap and plastic-y...
I really do have a problem leaving things alone :D
Already planning and in parts implementing changes/updates to the camper...thing is gonna be even nicer when done. In the works/planning so far:
- LED light on interior light (currently LED but too blue)
- Replace all cabinet hardware and...
I'll be over spec'd GCWR, most are when towing in reality (comes up a lot in the various crawler hauler groups)
Being conservative:
Truck is ~8500
Buggy 4500
Trailer 6k
Camper 4k
Weights for various things like spares, totes, etc. added into the estimates
I'd guess somewhere near 22K +/- 2k...
