Finished up the replacement tonight and it seems to run and idle better then before. sjkimmel99 thanks for the link - I had read that before I posted but I did refer back to it during the install. I had to trim the bottom of the intake on the #6 cylinder for clearance and I also got the felpro...
It is time to replace my cracked exhaust manifold on my '99 XJ, 4.0, auto. 4x4. I have an APN on order and this is going to be next weekends (hopefully only 1 day) project. Are there any tips or secrets other then remove and replace per the FSM? I will spray PB Blaster on the nuts and bolts...
My '99 starting making a noise under load when warm. Turns out my exhaust manifold is cracked. Take a shop vac with the hose on exhaust and get someone to hold it on the exhaust pipe and feel around the bottom part of the manifold - just above where it connects to the crimped pipe. I have a...
I have pulled a 5 x 8 U-haul trailer a few times and it was no problem. I have wondered how the larger trailer would pull because the next time I help my daughter move I think we will need the larger one.

Thanks

I just installed the part for my drivers window. Cost around $30.00 and around 2 hours time plus the time to remove and reinstall the regulator in the door. I used the hose clamp to keep the window up while I waited for the part to arrive. Ordered it on a Wednesday night and it was in the...

When mine ripped I took a plastic milk or OJ carton and cut 2 pieces of plastic, put 1 on the botton and 1 on top of the splash shield and stapled them together. I also reinforced one of the mounting holes that way also. So far so good - I did have to redo one of the mends but it seems to be...
