i put 97 ZJ seats in my 92, i just made a bracket out of some angle iron for the front of the seats and the back brackets just bolted through the floor. i had to hammer some of the ttransmission tunnel flat to allow the seat to sit center on the stearing wheel, otherwise i would have been...

feel free to correct me if i am wrong, but i have always thought that the "comfort" mode is bad for the tranns. Isn't the shift slower putting more wear on the transmission? I heard that this is why they got rid of it.

i dont wanna try starting in drive but it does drive.... gutless as hell though, wont shift down or anything

The other morning i couldn't get started so i unplugged my NSS and jumped the terminals to make it think it was in park then unjumped them and drove to work. After work i forgot and got in and started it.... started no problem even without jumping how is it starting with the switch unplugged...

yea it would be cool to keep a foot of the hood or something... would make a cool storage box, and be more aerodynamic for highway millage might have to shorten it a bit though

what kind of weight ratio is ideal for a trailer? do you need it to be pretty well balanced?

i have been daydreaming about a camping trailer a bunch lately so i figured id photoshop one to see how sweet it would be :D i just wish that it was as easy to fabricate and weld as it is to photoshop. has anyone else ever thought of making a wrecked XJ into a trailer. there is a ton at wreckers...

thanks every one! i ended up finding another wrecked ZJ in the buysell and ended up getting aa bunch of parts. i got full leather power interior, center console, shifter knob 5 16in snowflake rims with decent rubber, 4 speakers, rear cargo cover, alternator, handfull of fuses lol. all for $150

i found a pretty complete ZJ at the wrecker what parts should i snag off it for my 92 XJ? it is a 96 or 97 i think. im getting seats and center console for sure what else should i get? everything will be very cheap cuz i kissed ass to the owner of the wrecker :spin1:

it is only the older grills that are different. i thought it was in 89 they switched but some 90s may still be the older style grill. if the parts are just cracked why dont you epoxy them and then spray bomb em black?

i cant get my high beams to turn off even with the ignition off... the headlight switch will turn off the regular lights and the high beam switch just makes them a bit brighter for a sec then back to normal. I have daytime running lights which are low voltage high beams. what is most likely the...

i tried the power break and i mashed on the gas pretty hard and no noise so sound like u joints there is a fair bit of play in them too. thank all
