    This is a good day, I replaced the coil and now she's alive again. Stupid "made in Japan" electronics... I don't have a multimeter nor can I read one lol. But I replaced my CPS and returned the old one. So in total I spent $32 on the coil and got a free CPS... :roflmao:

    97 XJ died while driving to work this morning without warning and would not start back up... I have a 90% highway commute and at 75 mph it died. No CEL, no nothing. I got a ride and replaced the CPS and it did not fix the issue. The fuel pump whines and all the fuses and relays are good...

    Thanks guys you talked me out of it. LOL The 242 I got for $50 is shot anyway. And I did put new bearings and seals in it. I meant I bench tested it before I pulled it apart. I know I'd have to use the planetary input from the 231... I can sell this thing to some mook for $100. Hehe

    The wiring harness that runs behind the valve cover had been rubbed through by the head bolt on the corner. And it only damaged the white/yellow wire for the cylinder three fuel injector, causing a ground. Try again, got a photobucket account now...

    Broken shock bolt... HELP!??

    I have an 88 XJ and need to know if there is anyway to fix a broken bolt in the upper rear shock mount? It's in there pretty good and I tried drilling it out but ended up breaking a bit in there. :( Is there any website that sells a repair kit for this or anything an owner did to fix this issue...

    Hard starting

    I have an 88 XJ and it starts up real hard but runs great once it does. Cranks for about 7 seconds before actually running. I am aware this is an on going issue with the 4.0's and heard it could be the fuel pump or injectors. Any pointers would be great!
