That's what I was thinking. When we get parts in, every single part number and its quantity gets matched with what's on the packing slip, and scanned in the computer. We also match the purchase order with the packing slip. If these guys aren't doing that, then they are just asking for problems.
I run a locked, non c clip 35 under my 89. I have replaced it once due to a failed carrier bearing. It destroyed the gears. Otherwise, I have had zero issues.
That's exactly what I thought. It should have had oil up there before he started it.
When I rebuilt my 4.0, I primed it, fired it up and promptly had to shut it off, as I had no oil pressure. I chased it for a bit, and finally connected a gauge right to the port. Suddenly, I had pressure! Turns...
Agreed Torx!
The thing that really pisses me off is that this impacts every one of the users of TSF. Barret has done more for us than many people realize, including creating these machines and for someone to just jack it is like a slap in the face.
Hi Everyone,
On the heels of the good news about the arrest of a suspect in last summer’s rash of vehicle break-ins comes terrible news from Barrett Brown about a theft from the Northwest Trail Alliance of their new ST240 single track trail machine, it’s trailer, and several other trail...
Dustin pretty much nailed it.
Hogsback is not that hard, but it is tight and twisty and I would be surprised if a full width rig fit. Same with the upper section of FB5. There are a couple of spots where I have had to back up to make the turn, and my XJ just a bit over stock width, and stock...
No kidding! My drivers front door has been stuck closed for a week! I have been messing with it for the last hour and finally came in to search NAXJA! Lo and behold, Kastien's trick worked!!!!!! Thanks!
I have been running a Flowmaster HushpowerII for a few years and couldn't be happier with it. It's two layers of stainless with a kevlar wrap in between. Nice and compact, and stays cool. I had a 40 on it before and it did almost set my carpet on fire. Granted, my EGTs were probably high. I was...
Looking at this picture, I would be concerned about the piston fitting between the mains on the block.
It isn't that hard to pull the head off. You have to disconnect some stuff, remove the valve cover, loosen the rockers, pull the pushrods out and yard the head off. You don't need to remove...
This...well, kinda. The 1/2 ton Burbs are prone to eating 12 bolts. It's a bit of weight for that axle to haul around all the time. If you're lucky, you can find a semi-float 14 bolt ( can you say 454 SS?) that is a much stronger axle, and will be a direct bolt in. The 4L80E in the 2500 is also...
Not true. What does your Powerstroke weigh? 7k? So, are you saying that you will not tow more than 7k with that vehicle? Have you checked the weight of a 30ft 5th wheel? Yup, probably right about 7k. Go up to a high end 36 with four slides and you are around 12k. As long as the vehicle and...
Just to clarify something, yes, the weight distribution bars DO transfer weight off of the ball and toward the front of the tow vehicle. The correct term is weight distribution. Equalizer is a brand name. It is a great system, but a w/d hitch with a friction sway control can be had for a lot...
I may be late to the party, but I thought I would throw in my two cents worth. I would absolutely not go any longer than 28ft, shorter would be better. They can get everything they need in an 18ft trailer too. With the shorter wheelbase of the Tahoe, it will be hard to get a swaying trailer back...
